An Art Educator with over 15 years of experience I have taught in a variety of diverse settings including colleges, public schools, and museums. I have designed and facilitated Portfolio Development programs for  both middle school students preparing portfolios for New York City's competitive arts-focused high school admission. I currently work with high school and community college students applying to prestigious art colleges across the country.  In the porfolio development courses students focus on skill-building in the foundations of art and design using a variety of materials. Students experiment and build fluency in techniques and art-making processes. Focus is paid to observational and conceptual development of students' work while supporting individual voice and the development of a personal visual language.

My Students have received admission to the following schools:

Colleges/Universities:
Rhode Island College of Art
Maryland Institute College of Art
Massachusetts College of Art and Design
Art Center Pasadena
School of the Art Institue of Chicago
Parsons School of Art and Design
Fashion Institue of Technolgy
School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Tufts)

Summary
I offer individual consulting sessions via ZOOM. The online sessions are a mix of live demos, review of assignments, work-time, and feedback. The programs are tailored to each students needs and portfolio requirements of schools, thus the number and length of sessions can vary. Students and families should be prepared for bulk of work to be done independently as developing a portfolio of work requires a commitment outside of meeting times.

Who is Portfolio Development for?
I have worked with a variety of students at different points in their art educational journey. Students who most benefit most from portfolio development course are often already committed to attending an arts focused high school or college and have some background and experience in art classes.

11th/12th grade students applying to Art School/College Art program
Community College students or recent graduates seeking to transfer to a 4 year Art School/College Art program
